Thank you so much for stopping by! My name is Amanda, and I am currently living in the Houston, TX area with my family. I’ve lived in Texas my whole life. I am originally from a small beach community, but moved to Houston to attend University of Houston and have been here ever since. Growing up it was clear that I had an eye for fashion which only grew over time. It was finally time for me to create an outlet for that passion, and LuxMommy was born.
I’m often asked how I would describe my style. I’d say simple and classic. I gravitate towards neutrals and prefer timeless pieces. For me, it’s important to have basics in your closet that you always have available and then add in some trendy pieces(at an affordable price of course) for a modern classic look. Fashion doesn’t have to be complicated and it also doesn’t have to break the bank. I prefer to “invest” in bags and shoes and find great deals on clothing.
I’m so excited and grateful for all the love and support I have received since creating this blog. I truly feel like I have this community of friends to talk about fashion, life and motherhood. I truly from the bottom of my heart thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your day to be a part of mine.

Frequently Asked Questions:
How tall are you? I am 5’2″. I almost always buy petite in pants/jeans and sometimes in dresses and skirts. I never buy petite in tops. I always mark exact sizing on each blog post. If I don’t note petite/short, then I am wearing a regular.
How do you stay fit? I will admit, I am not in the best shape, but I am working out regularly. Growing up I was always very active and had a very fit body. As an adult I’ve had to work harder to stay fit. I definitely have some toning up to do, but I recently joined a new gym(BeatStrong) and am loving it. My goal is to go 5 days a week, that doesn’t always happen, but I try. I love the flexibility of this gym, they have a variety of class options as well as the small group training. It almost feels like a personal training session, which is why I think this gym style works for me. I am more accountable and I truly enjoy working out. I see 2018 being a big change for me fitness wise.
How many kids do you have? We have two boys! They were adopted in 2014 and have the same birth mom, but different birth fathers. Mason was 4 when he came to our home and Matthew was 3 weeks away from being 2! We have no plans to adopt anymore. Fur babies yes, human babies…no!
